Michael Kohler
Assistant Vice President and General Manager
Michael was promoted to Assistant VP and General Manager of the ISP Sports sales and marketing team for the Houston Cougars in October 2005 after nearly one year as Associate GM for the company's office at the University of Pittsburgh office. Prior to joining ISP, he spent three years as assistant athletic director for marketing and promotions at Brown University, where he supervised marketing efforts for a 37-sport program. He also has corporate sales and promotions experience at San Diego State and the University of Denver. Michael received a master's in sports management from Denver after earning his undergraduate degree from Cal-Santa Barbara.
Ken Davis
Associate General Manager
Ken became a member of the Houston ISP Sports Network team in 2007. He came to ISP after serving as Special Events Coordinator for the 2007 NCAA Men's Final Four Organizing Committee while working in Event Services for the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. Prior to making the leap into sports marketing, he served as the Managing Director for Global Property Investments in Marietta, Georgia. He earned a bachelors degree in Finance from Jackson State University. Ken went on to receive an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Mercer, before earning a master's in Sports Management from Georgia State.
April Matthews
Assistant General Manager
Texas native April Matthews joined ISP Sports in Houston after two years as the Ballpark Operations and Client Relations Coordinator for the Houston Astros. In her role as a Senior Account Executive, April is responsible for all aspects of selling the UH Cougars. She is a 2004 graduate of Texas A&M University, where she was a student worker for the Aggies Baseball program. With the Houston Astros, April oversaw a wide variety of promotions and was responsible for print advertising, Spring Training corporate sponsor accounts, and general client relations between the Astros and their corporate sponsors.
