Hey Coogs,

Friday's game against Monmouth was a good one, for those of you who missed it. Brad Lincoln had 11 strikeouts in seven innings and only gave up one run.

When I asked Lincoln if that was his first double-digit strikeout game of the season he said, "Yep, the first of many."

Our offense, as a whole, hit the ball hard all night, but just right at people. Most of our lineup hit lasers pretty much every at bat, but didn't have anything to show for it. Combined with the wind and Monmouth's defensive positioning the ball didn't fall for us as much as we liked. But we won, they lost, and that's all that matters.

For any of you that don't know Friday night's was Monmouth's season opener and they came ready to play. So did we. All night our attitude was positive and if one guy failed, the guy behind him picked him up.

Well I have to got eat our pregame meal at Mandola's Deli so I hope to see you all out the game, despite the weather conditions.

Thanks, Brett
