Hey Coog Fans,

Well, this past weekend was a good one for us against the Monmouth Hawks. I was really happy that we took three from those guys. We really needed it. Now all we need to do is take care of business on the road.

We had a good practice on Monday in preparation for Lamar on Tuesday. Since the pitching staff tossed a shutout on Sunday against Monmouth, they were rewarded with 30 minutes of pitchers' batting practice. That's not all we did during practice; that was just a little fun at the end of the day for the pitchers.

While the position players shag baseballs, the pitchers get to take batting practice; kind of turning the tables a little, wouldn't you say? It was actually a little fun watching some of those guys swing the sticks. Some of them weren't that bad.

Just a few side notes:
Happy 21st Birthday to Traci Cauley - our Director of Business Operations. Also, pray for one of our equipment managers, Matt "Willy" Boland, who has been feeling under the weather for the past week. I know Willy would appreciate it.
