Attended Genesis One Christian School in Mendenhall, Miss., in 2006-07...averaged 14 points and six rebounds per game while playing under coach Victor Evans at Genesis One...Genesis One featured five other players who signed with NCAA Division I schools in 2006-07...averaged 21 points, 17 rebounds and seven blocked shots per game as a senior for coach Lou Grimsley at Shabazz High School...ranked among the top 36 pointers in the New York, Philadelphia, Delaware, and New Jersey area by MetroHoops magazine...was a nominee for the 2006 McDondald's All-American team...Shabazz finished the 2004-05 season with a 24-7 record and won the Group III State Championship with a 76-58 victory over Camden...led the team with 21 points and 16 rebounds in the title game...Shabazz was the state runner-up during his senior season...was named the conference Player of the Year as a junior and senior.
