Strong-armed signal-caller who thrived in the new offense this past spring... heads into the fall in a battle for the starting nod with sophomore Case Keenum... has the pocket presence needed in this new passing attack... also has quick feet and can scramble around if necessary.

SOPHOMORE (2007)
Competed in all but two games with five starts... made his first collegiate start at Oregon... recorded 51 yards on 8-of-12 passing... added 39 yards on six carries, including a career-long 20-yard run in the fourth quarter against the Ducks... came off the bench to throw for 113 yards and a pair of touchdown on 10-of-12 passing at Conference USA rival Tulane... also added 16 rushing yards on only two carries against the Green Wave... came off the bench to throw for 250 yards on 24-of-29 passing with two touchdowns against C-USA rival East Carolina... threw for 125 yards and a touchdown at Alabama... threw for 318 yards and three touchdowns - both career bests - on 11-of-18 passing in the first half against Rice... broke off a career-best 36-yard run at UAB... finished with 169 yards on 11-of-14 passing against Texas Southern during the regular-season finale... also scored on a 4-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter against the Tigers.

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2006)
Reserve who appeared in games against Grambling State and Conference USA rival Tulane... made his collegiate debut against Tulane during the home opener... completed all three of his pass attempts for 27 yards... completed three passes for 29 yards against Grambling State.
