Transfer from Lamar where she competed in cross country and track...ran in six cross country meets during 2000 season and was Lamar’s top finisher in five of them...best finish was fourth place at both the Lamar and McNeese State Invitationals...placed 47th at Southland Conference meet...best finish as a freshman was seventh place at the 1999 Lamar Invitational...also competed in the distance events and ran on the Cardinals’ distance medley relay team...had a season-best indoor time of 5:45.10 to finish 10th in the mile at Houston’s 2001 Leonard Hilton Memorial Meet...also was fifth at the McNeese State Invitational with a time of 11:16.91...was 21st in the 3,000 meters with a time of 11:35.73 at the UH All-Comers indoor meet last year...did not compete in the 2001 outdoor season...was fourth in the 3,000 meters at the 2000 Sam Houston State and Northwestern State Relays...was seventh in 5,000 at the College Station Relays with a season-best time of 19:20.84...ran anchor leg on Lamar’s distance medley relay team that finished second in a school record time of 13:03.77 at the Ty Terrell Relays during the outdoor season...the distance medley relay team also posted a time of 12:57.13 at UH All-Comers meet in indoors.

Was the District 19-5A champion in cross country and led Katy Taylor to district team title as a senior...finished 14th at the regional meet...Taylor qualified for the state cross country championships and finished ninth...qualified for regionals in the 800 meters, 1600 meters and 4x400-meter relay during 1999 track season.
